Chassis Assembly Build Technician

Responsibilities

• Assemble chassis components according to engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions
• Install and secure mechanical and electrical components including suspension, steering, brakes, and wiring harnesses
• Conduct thorough inspections and quality checks at each stage of assembly
• Diagnose and resolve assembly issues and mechanical problems
• Maintain accurate records of assembly procedures and part numbers
• Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines
• Perform routine maintenance on assembly equipment and tools
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proven experience in chassis assembly or a related field, ideally in automotive
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and schematics
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Physical stamina to lift heavy components and stand for extended periods
