About the role

Responsibilities

  • Take end-to-end ownership of charging performance testing quality for HPC chargers (≥350 kW)
  • Define and improve end-to-end charging test scenarios, including manual and partially automated regression testing
  • Perform conformance and interoperability testing for EV-charger communication protocols (CCS Type 2, ISO 15118, DIN SPEC 70121)
  • Analyze and debug charging issues using pcap traces (Wireshark), charger logs, and backend communication logs (OCPP, OCPI/OICP)
  • Work hands-on with testing and simulation tools, including PLC communication boards and vehicle emulators
  • Collaborate with charger manufacturers, backend teams, and OEMs to align on technical improvements
  • Contribute to testing standards and provide data-driven recommendations for software quality and interoperability

Requirements

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable technical field
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in testing, ideally within the electromobility sector
  • Solid understanding of quality assurance principles and testing processes
  • Familiarity with charging communication standards including ISO 15118-2/20, DIN SPEC 70121, and OCPP 1.6/2.1
  • Experience with protocol-level debugging using Wireshark and pcap traces
  • Strong communication skills in English; basic German knowledge is a plus
  • Ability to work effectively in international, cross-functional environments
