Chargeback Analyst

Responsibilities

• Manage, investigate, and resolve chargeback claims across multiple payment platforms
• Prepare and submit compelling evidence to contest chargebacks and recover disputed funds
• Review transaction data and system logs to determine dispute validity against scheme rules
• Ensure processes comply with Visa and Mastercard regulations, including strict adherence to KPIs and timelines
• Maintain accurate records and produce regular performance reports for stakeholders
• Collaborate with fraud prevention, finance, and customer service teams to enhance dispute strategies
• Analyze chargeback trends to identify root causes and recommend process improvements

Requirements

• Fluency in Spanish, English, and Portuguese (written and verbal)
• Demonstrated experience resolving chargeback cases within card issuing or payments operations
• Strong knowledge of Visa and Mastercard chargeback scheme rules and compliance processes
• Experience supporting scheme compliance projects or change initiatives
• Ability to manage high workloads under strict SLAs with high attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in disputes or fraud operations within banking or fintech
• Familiarity with dispute management tools and card processing systems
• Understanding of European regulatory requirements regarding consumer protection and card disputes
• Experience working in fast-paced, SLA-driven environments
