Charge Registered Nurse - RN

Responsibilities

• Function as the hemodialysis team leader, providing day-to-day direction and supervision to patient care staff
• Communicate with physicians and healthcare team members to interpret and adjust patient care plans
• Ensure safe and effective delivery of patient care in compliance with facility, state, and federal regulations
• Assess daily patient care needs and develop appropriate patient care assignments
• Monitor and supervise all patient care activity during dialysis treatments
• Administer medications per physician orders and act as a subject matter expert for staff members
• Train and orient staff, and provide ongoing feedback regarding performance
• Maintain shift operations in a safe, efficient, and effective manner

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing (R.N.)
• Current and appropriate state nursing licensure
• Minimum of 9 months of nursing experience
• Minimum of 3 months of clinical dialysis experience
• Successful completion of a training course in the theory and practice of hemodialysis
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous supervisory or management experience in a clinical setting
