Charge Registered Nurse - RN

Responsibilities

• Function as the hemodialysis team leader, providing day-to-day direction and supervision to patient care staff
• Assess daily patient care needs and develop appropriate patient care assignments
• Monitor and supervise all patient care activity during dialysis treatments
• Communicate with physicians and healthcare team members to interpret and adjust patient care plans
• Ensure compliance with company policies, facility procedures, and state/federal regulations
• Train and orient staff members on clinical techniques and facility protocols
• Manage shift operations, including documentation oversight and emergency response leadership
• Educate patients and their families regarding End Stage Renal Disease, dialysis therapy, diet, and medication

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing (R.N.)
• Current and appropriate state nursing licensure
• Minimum of 9 months of nursing experience
• Minimum of 3 months of clinical dialysis experience
• Successful completion of a training course in the theory and practice of hemodialysis
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous supervisory or management experience in a clinical setting
