Charge Registered Nurse

Responsibilities

• Function as the hemodialysis team leader, providing direction and supervision to patient care staff
• Manage chronic hemodialysis treatments and ensure safe, effective delivery of patient care
• Communicate with physicians and healthcare team members to interpret and adjust patient care plans
• Assess daily patient care needs and develop appropriate patient care assignments
• Monitor patient conditions, respond to dialysis treatments, and implement changes as directed by physicians
• Supervise all documentation of patient information and ensure compliance with facility policies and regulations
• Train and orient staff, providing both informal and formal feedback on performance
• Oversee the safe and effective use of all dialysis and emergency equipment

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing (RN)
• Current and appropriate state RN licensure
• Minimum of 9 months of nursing experience
• Minimum of 3 months of clinical dialysis experience
• Successful completion of a training course in the theory and practice of hemodialysis
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous supervisory or management experience
