Charge Nurse

Responsibilities

• Oversee dispensing and nursing operations to ensure high-quality, evidence-based patient care
• Guide care planning in collaboration with medical providers and clinical staff
• Step in for direct patient care when needed and monitor outcomes
• Manage medication ordering, inventory, and vendor relationships
• Ensure compliance with BHA, DEA, COMAR, and CARF standards
• Supervise, mentor, and evaluate nursing staff, including hiring and scheduling
• Partner with Executive and Medical Directors on strategic planning
• Support nursing department budgeting and identify cost-saving opportunities

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license in good standing
• Proven experience as a Charge Nurse or in a nursing leadership role
• Strong clinical judgment and knowledge of nursing best practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with EHR systems and Microsoft Office
