Charge Medical Laboratory Technologist, Immunopathology

Responsibilities

• Supervise, organize, and distribute workload among technical staff to ensure efficient laboratory operations
• Perform laboratory procedures and ensure the completion of assigned workloads within the immunopathology discipline
• Maintain quality control, equipment maintenance, and inventory management systems
• Develop, implement, and maintain new or revised testing procedures, protocols, and performance standards
• Assess technical staff performance and provide coaching
• Document procedures and test results through written and electronic reports
• Participate in teaching, educational, safety, and quality improvement programs

Requirements

• Completion of a recognized Medical Laboratory Technologist program
• Current registration with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists (CMLTO)
• Five years of recent laboratory experience specifically in immunohistochemistry
• Computer literacy and strong problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Three years of recent supervisory experience in a related discipline
