Character Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage the daily onboard operations of Disney Characters, including appearances, events, and programs
• Lead, coach, and provide recognition or discipline for a team of performers
• Ensure Character Brand integrity across all events, activities, and photo shoots
• Uphold the Disney 5 Keys: Safety, Courtesy, Show, Inclusion, and Efficiency
• Partner with shoreside Entertainment Leadership Teams regarding training, schedules, and show quality
• Act as the primary shipboard contact for Character recovery and guest satisfaction
• Build and communicate Character Ticketing Grids for bookable events
• Perform stage management responsibilities and operational decisions in altered performance environments when necessary

Requirements

• Minimum 3-5 years of leadership experience in Entertainment operations within the last five years
• Previous Disney Entertainment Operations experience (as a Character Performer, Character Manager, or Entertainment Manager)
• Valid passport and C1/D Seaman's visa (documentation provided by DCL to obtain)
• Ability to live and work onboard a vessel in a multicultural environment
• Willingness to follow shipboard safety roles and emergency responsibilities

Preferred Qualifications

• University degree or related coursework in recreation, education, entertainment, or a related field
• Previous performance experience
