Character Artist

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize, model, and texture high-quality characters for published game titles
• Utilize a wealth of experience to tell stories through beautifully crafted character designs
• Deliver clean geometry, solid topology, and efficient UV mapping
• Create detailed textures and materials to enhance character realism and personality
• Work within established pipelines to ensure assets meet technical and artistic standards

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Character Artist in the games industry with at least one published title
• Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in form, shape, composition, and anatomy
• Proficiency in Maya, Zbrush, and Photoshop
• Solid understanding of core fundamentals including topology, UVs, and texturing
• Experience with facial blendshapes and wrinkle maps
• Experience with hair authoring (both full strand-based and hair cards)
• Ability to provide examples of hard surface work
• A link to your website or portfolio is mandatory for consideration

Preferred Qualifications

• Working knowledge of Unreal Engine 4 or 5
• Experience using Marvelous Designer
• Experience with scan development pipelines
