Character Artist

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize, model, and texture high-quality characters to tell stories through visual design
• Create beautifully constructed characters with clean geometry and high-quality material work
• Utilize a wide range of artistic skills to deliver assets for published game titles
• Collaborate with the Character Art team to maintain high standards of form, shape, and composition

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Character Artist in the games industry with at least one published title
• Strong mastery of Maya and ZBrush, with a solid foundation in Photoshop
• Deep understanding of core fundamentals including solid topology, UVs, and texturing
• Strong knowledge of human anatomy
• Experience with facial blendshapes and wrinkle maps
• Experience with hair authoring (both full strand-based and hair cards)
• Ability to provide examples of hard surface work
• A portfolio demonstrating creative flare and flexibility in art style

Preferred Qualifications

• Working knowledge of Unreal Engine 4 or 5
• Experience using Marvelous Designer
• Experience with scan development pipelines
