Chapel Ministry Associate

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for chapel inquiries, appointments, and service requests
• Plan the annual chapel calendar, including worship services, special observances, and events
• Design and produce bulletins for all chapel services and specialized liturgies
• Track student participation, responsibilities, and workflow
• Assist the chaplain in overseeing the physical environment and seasonal décor of the chapel
• Maintain liturgical equipment, supplies, and organizational systems
• Provide logistical and on-site support for affinity group chapels and student-led services
• Distribute lesson plans to Sunday School teachers and communicate with parents

Requirements

• Knowledge of and familiarity with the Episcopal Church
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Pastoral sensitivity and cultural competency when working with diverse populations
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to design, edit, and produce service bulletins
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to drive school vans for student programs
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs and engage in light physical activity

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a school, parish, or chaplaincy setting
• Experience with piano or organ accompaniment
