Chair and Associate Professor, Graduate Nursing

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for graduate nursing programs to ensure academic excellence.
• Ensure full compliance with CCNE accreditation standards and PA BON regulations.
• Oversee curriculum design, implementation, and continuous improvement.
• Direct the launch and accreditation of new post-licensure programs.
• Recruit, mentor, and evaluate faculty to foster a collaborative environment.
• Monitor and improve student outcomes, including retention and certification pass rates.
• Teach graduate nursing courses as assigned.
• Establish and maintain relationships with healthcare organizations for clinical placements.

Requirements

• Doctoral degree in nursing or an appropriate discipline from an accredited institution.
• Current registered nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania or a multistate license.
• Current certified registered nurse practitioner (CRNP) licensure in Pennsylvania.
• National certification as a nurse practitioner (FNP preferred).
• Minimum of five years of recent classroom and clinical experience.
• Higher education program oversight or leadership experience.
• Evidence of scholarship through professional literature, presentations, or grantsmanship.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience serving as a Chair or Director.
• Prior experience with program and curriculum development.
• Experience working directly with nursing accrediting and licensing bodies.
