About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for graduate nursing programs to ensure academic excellence.
- Ensure full compliance with CCNE accreditation standards and PA BON regulations.
- Oversee curriculum design, implementation, and continuous improvement.
- Direct the launch and accreditation of new post-licensure programs.
- Recruit, mentor, and evaluate faculty to foster a collaborative environment.
- Monitor and improve student outcomes, including retention and certification pass rates.
- Teach graduate nursing courses as assigned.
- Establish and maintain relationships with healthcare organizations for clinical placements.
Requirements
- Doctoral degree in nursing or an appropriate discipline from an accredited institution.
- Current registered nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania or a multistate license.
- Current certified registered nurse practitioner (CRNP) licensure in Pennsylvania.
- National certification as a nurse practitioner (FNP preferred).
- Minimum of five years of recent classroom and clinical experience.
- Higher education program oversight or leadership experience.
- Evidence of scholarship through professional literature, presentations, or grantsmanship.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience serving as a Chair or Director.
- Prior experience with program and curriculum development.
- Experience working directly with nursing accrediting and licensing bodies.
