CFO Fall Co-op Student, Capital Markets Enterprise-Wide Stress Testing

Responsibilities

• Design and execute financial models to capture sensitivities and valuation changes under stress scenarios across Capital Markets.
• Translate macroeconomic scenarios into risk factor shocks using statistical or historical correlation approaches.
• Automate processes for scenario application, model execution, and report generation using VBA and Python.
• Analyze data using empirical and statistical techniques to fine-tune financial and risk projections.
• Participate in the development and analysis of stress scenarios, assumptions, and methodologies.
• Adhere to internal governance standards and regulatory expectations for model production.

Requirements

• Experience in financial modelling, capital markets risk, and stress testing.
• Proficiency in Excel and Python.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with strong interpersonal abilities.
• Strong investigative mindset and acute attention to detail.
• Must be returning to school after the work term or require the term as a mandatory component for graduation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to Capital Markets products and businesses.
• Knowledge of regulatory stress testing requirements.
• Experience using analytical tools and managing large datasets.
