About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform onsite testing and inspection of manufactured steel assemblies designed to support heavy loads
- Identify components containing cracks, corrosion, faulty welds, or other defects affecting structural integrity
- Conduct inspections and tests on structures and welds to ensure compliance with engineering standards
- Produce detailed inspection reports using MS Office software
Requirements
- Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification
- At least 3 years of experience in inspection and testing
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and blueprints
- Proficiency with MS Office software for report generation
- Ability to work onsite in Dyersburg, Tennessee
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) or Nondestructive Evaluation (NDE)
- Proficiency in Magnetic Particle, Dye Penetrant, Visual, and Ultrasonic inspection (NDI)
- Background in construction, civil engineering, defense, marine, or aerospace industries
