Certified Welding Inspector

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate Quality Assurance Inspection activities on the manufacturing floor
• Manage the quarantine and disposition of nonconforming goods
• Assign employees and maintain directed shift staffing levels to maximize quality control goals
• Perform process and sub-factory audits to ensure procedures are followed
• Research data and implement corrective actions
• Provide immediate supervision, guidance, and training to inspectors
• Review quality reports and confer with management to define quality goals
• Act as a liaison between customers, vendors, and functional peer groups regarding quality issues

Requirements

• 3 years of related experience in quality assurance or welding inspection
• Expertise in Quality Assurance Inspection and process auditing
• Experience in staff supervision and directing daily shift activities
• Ability to develop and implement quality assurance inspection procedures
