Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to surgeons, registered nurses, and anesthesiologists in the operating room
• Scrub and assist in surgical procedures, including setting up and breaking down equipment
• Ensure proper supplies, instruments, and equipment are ready for use
• Maintain sterile technique and report any observed breaks in protocol
• Perform proper counting of sponges, instruments, and sharps
• Anticipate surgeon needs and pass instruments appropriately
• Prepare and preserve specimens
• Clean and disinfect operating rooms, tables, and surfaces between cases
• Verify medication strength and dosage with the circulator

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Graduate of an accredited school of surgical technology
• CST certification verified via NBSTSA
• BLS certification

Preferred Qualifications

• One year of current Surgical Tech experience in an OR setting
