Certified Surgical Technologist

Responsibilities

• Maintain the integrity of the sterile field by utilizing advanced knowledge of aseptic technique
• Utilize advanced knowledge of instruments, equipment, and supplies necessary for surgical procedures
• Prioritize team and department needs through analysis of the daily schedule and case mix
• Serve as a preceptor for Surgical Technologist students and new employees
• Function as a leader by providing support to members of the surgical team
• Assist with maintaining a clean, safe surgical environment
• Ensure adherence to Surgical Services Infection Control, Safety, and Risk Management policies and guidelines

Requirements

• Accredited Certificate or Associate Degree in Surgical Technology
• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification
• NH Board of Registration of Medical Technicians licensure
• At least one year of experience as a surgical technologist
