Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-anesthesia evaluations, obtain informed consent, and develop anesthesia care plans
• Administer anesthesia and sedation, manage airways, and ensure safe delivery during procedures
• Select and administer anesthetics, adjuvant drugs, and fluids while managing equipment safety checks
• Monitor patient conditions and maintain time-based records to ensure stability during intraoperative and peri-anesthetic phases
• Manage patient emergence, recovery, and discharge from the post-anesthesia unit
• Implement pain management strategies, including regional anesthesia and interventional procedures
• Provide emergency interventions, including airway, cardiovascular, and respiratory support
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and comply with all safety and quality standards

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nurse anesthesia educational program
• Current appropriate State Licensure
• NBCRNA certification
• BLS and ACLS certification
• Insurable for medical malpractice
• 8–12 years of related experience or equivalent education and experience
• Proficiency in operating anesthesia equipment and providing perioperative support
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• 5 years of specific CRNA experience
