Certified Pharmacy Technician

Responsibilities

• Make assigned outbound patient refill phone calls and complete requests in a timely manner
• Answer, resolve, and triage inbound pharmacy inquiries
• Proactively coordinate medication refills including data entry and ensuring correct days supply
• Follow through with claim adjudication and troubleshooting reject codes
• Clarify prescription orders with pharmacists and clinicians
• Identify medications requiring special storage or handling
• Document work appropriately across all systems and manage relevant data using database applications
• Partner with pharmacy to ensure proper in-stock of medications

Requirements

• State registration as a pharmacy technician
• 1+ years of experience as a pharmacy technician
• High school diploma or GED
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint)
• Strong interpersonal and phone communication skills
• High attention to detail and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

• National CPhT certification or equivalent
• 5-8 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician
• Experience working with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals in a medical clinic setting
