Certified Pharmacy Technician

Responsibilities

• Prepare, package, label, process, and distribute prescription orders accurately for pharmacist verification
• Maintain inventory by stocking shelves, rotating stock, and checking expiration dates
• Operate pharmacy automation and repackaging equipment including Autofill devices and electronic scales
• Use computer systems and scanning equipment to select correct medications and NDC information
• Perform first-level preventive maintenance on pharmacy automation equipment
• Follow SOPs and hazardous material/hazardous waste precautions

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Current nationally recognized Pharmacy Technician certification (PTCB CPhT or NHA ExCPT)
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
• Basic typing and PC skills
• Fluency in English (reading, understanding, speaking, and writing)
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and push/pull up to 150 lbs
• Ability to stand or sit for 8–10 hours
