Certified Nursing Assistant

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and comfort to residents as needed
• Assist with meal times and transport residents within the facility
• Document all interventions and care provided
• Implement bowel and bladder programs
• Assist with restorative and rehabilitation procedures
• Participate in resident care plans and other nursing duties as assigned
• Support residents with their spiritual needs and Christian beliefs

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Michigan CNA certification (or completion of course with testing scheduled within 120 days of employment)
• Ability to work with limited supervision
• Ability to handle hectic and stressful situations
• Strong communication skills with co-workers, residents, and families
• Patience and understanding, especially when working with dementia residents

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with the geriatric population
• Familiarity with state and accrediting agency requirements for long-term care
