About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide patient care support including hygiene, nutrition, ambulation, elimination, and safety
- Document patient records and vital signs accurately
- Assist with admissions, including recording height, weight, and orienting new residents
- Respond promptly to call lights and resident needs
- Turn and reposition residents every 2 hours
- Measure and report intake and output (I&O)
- Perform procedures such as Sitz baths and moist packs as instructed
- Maintain unit supplies and equipment
Requirements
- Active Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of work
- CPR certification (or willingness to obtain within six months)
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods
- Ability to lift and transfer patients weighing 200+ lbs using proper techniques
- Ability to push/pull equipment weighing over 40 lbs
- Manual dexterity and coordination
- Visual acuity to distinguish color
