Certified Nursing Assistant

Responsibilities

• Provide routine daily nursing care and services to assigned residents in accordance with their assessment and care plans
• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and oral care
• Perform lifting, turning, and positioning tasks to ensure resident comfort and safety
• Document all care, observations, and changes in resident condition accurately in flow sheets and charts
• Monitor and record vital signs, intake/output, and nutritional habits
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents, including making beds and managing personal possessions
• Report any changes in resident condition or safety incidents to the Nurse Supervisor or Charge Nurse immediately

Requirements

• Must be a State-certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
• Minimum of a 10th-grade education
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, pushing, pulling, and moving at least 25 pounds
• Ability to assist with resident transfers and mobility using mechanical devices or manual assistance
• Strong communication skills in English (reading, writing, and speaking)
• Ability to document care and maintain accurate medical records
