Certified Nurse Attendant

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care including baths, oral hygiene, skin care, and assistance with dressing and undressing
• Assist patients with ambulation, turning, and positioning according to the established care plan
• Take vital signs and promptly notify the RN or LVN of any changes or abnormal findings
• Implement the patient care plan by assisting with feedings, collecting specimens, and performing treatments as directed
• Maintain a safe and clean environment by keeping patient rooms free of clutter and ensuring beds are in the correct position
• Document all interventions and patient care activities accurately in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and medical staff to support the continuum of care

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Current Certified Nurse Attendant (CNA) certification
• BCLS or ACLS Certification
