About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead and maintain on-site Nondestructive Testing (NDT) activities, including FPI, ETI, and STI.
  • Develop, maintain, and update NDT training plans, procedures, and inspection documentation.
  • Administer written and practical examinations for NDT inspectors and provide final product acceptability determinations.
  • Perform internal NDT and Quality Management System (QMS) audits to ensure compliance with AS, ISO, ASTM, and Nadcap requirements.
  • Lead root cause investigations using Lean, Six Sigma, and 8D methodologies.
  • Conduct statistical analyses, including correlation studies, capability studies (Cp, Cpk), and Measurement Systems Analyses (MSA).
  • Support the development of PFMEAs, Control Plans, SPC programs, and PPAP documentation.
  • Track and report Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Cost of Quality data to drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent technical experience.
  • Strong knowledge of AS, ISO, ASTM standards, and Nadcap requirements.
  • Proficiency with quality and reliability tools such as FMEA, SPC, Pareto, GR&R, and DOE.
  • Strong analytical thinking and structured problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • NDT Level III certification.
  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or 8D methodologies.
