About the role

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for resident health, safety, and well-being
  • Assist with daily living activities while promoting dignity and independence
  • Safely administer medications including oral, eye, ear, nasal, rectal, and topical
  • Follow strict 3-step check for right resident, medication, and dosage/route/time
  • Ensure compliance with all medication and care standards
  • Maintain high levels of accuracy, safety, and professionalism

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • Completion and certification of a recognized Medication Administration course
  • 1 year of experience or training, preferably with older adults or in retirement housing
  • Ability to pass a mandatory pre-employment background check
