High School Diploma, Medication Administration certification, 1 year experience preferred
About the role
Responsibilities
- Responsible for resident health, safety, and well-being
- Assist with daily living activities while promoting dignity and independence
- Safely administer medications including oral, eye, ear, nasal, rectal, and topical
- Follow strict 3-step check for right resident, medication, and dosage/route/time
- Ensure compliance with all medication and care standards
- Maintain high levels of accuracy, safety, and professionalism
Requirements
- High School Diploma
- Completion and certification of a recognized Medication Administration course
- 1 year experience or training, preferably with older adults or in retirement housing
- Ability to pass a mandatory pre-employment background check
