About the role
Responsibilities
- Supervise self-administered medication for the Assisted Living Department in compliance with regulations
- Count and sign for all narcotics with approved personnel
- Order necessary medications and treatments from pharmacy
- Verify accuracy of received medications against pharmacy labels and MAR
- Ensure proper storage of all medications and liquids
- Perform weekly inspections to remove expired medications
- Provide personal care to residents including bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Provide general nursing care such as monitoring vital signs, temperature, and blood pressure
- Document information in daily logs and maintain accurate medical charts
- Clean and restock medicine carts daily
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Current Medication Technician certification
- 1+ months of experience
- Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent time management
