Certified Medication Aide

Responsibilities

• Supervise self-administered medication for the Assisted Living Department in compliance with regulations
• Count and sign for all narcotics with approved personnel
• Order necessary medications and treatments from pharmacy
• Verify accuracy of received medications against pharmacy labels and MAR
• Ensure proper storage of all medications and liquids
• Perform weekly inspections to remove expired medications
• Provide personal care to residents including bathing, grooming, and dressing
• Provide general nursing care such as monitoring vital signs, temperature, and blood pressure
• Document information in daily logs and maintain accurate medical charts
• Clean and restock medicine carts daily

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Current Medication Technician certification
• 1+ months of experience
• Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Excellent time management
