Certified Medication Aide

Responsibilities

• Supervise self-administered medication in compliance with regulations and company guidelines
• Count and sign for narcotics and manage medication keys
• Order medications and treatments from pharmacies
• Verify accuracy of received medications against pharmacy labels and MAR
• Ensure proper storage and dating of all medications and vials
• Perform weekly inspections to remove expired medications
• Provide personal care including bathing, grooming, dressing, and incontinence care
• Monitor vital signs, temperatures, blood pressure, and weights
• Document information in daily logs and maintain accurate medical charts
• Clean and restock medicine carts daily and perform weekly deep cleaning

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Current Medication Technician certification
• 1+ months of experience, preferably in Senior Living
• Proficiency in English
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Strong interpersonal and time management skills
