About the role
Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments per healthcare provider orders
- Supervise residents who self-administer medication following regulatory guidelines
- Monitor and report changes in residents' physical condition and behaviors
- Maintain records for medication distribution, incidents, and observations
- Assist with activities of daily living: bathing, grooming, dressing, dining, and escorts
- Provide emotional and social support to residents
- Follow community policies, procedures, and supervisor schedules
- Maintain safety standards and emergency preparedness
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
- Active CMA license
- Ability to lift at least 51 lbs regularly and assist residents physically
- Read, write, speak, and understand English
- Memory care experience preferred for memory care assignments
