About the role
Responsibilities
- Supervise self-administered medication in compliance with regulations and company guidelines
- Count and sign for narcotics and manage medication keys
- Order medications and treatments from pharmacy and monitor supplies
- Verify accuracy of received medications against pharmacy labels and MAR
- Ensure proper storage and dating of all medications and vials
- Perform weekly inspections to remove expired medications
- Provide personal care including bathing, grooming, dressing, and incontinence care
- Monitor vital signs, temperature, blood pressure, and weights
- Document information in daily logs and maintain accurate medical charts
- Clean and restock medicine carts daily and weekly
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Current Medication Technician certification
- 1+ months of experience (Senior Living preferred)
- Proficiency in English
- Basic computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Strong interpersonal and time management skills
