Certified Medical Assistant

Responsibilities

• Screen patients and document findings in the medical information system
• Assist medical practitioners in the delivery of patient care and reinforce discharge instructions
• Administer medications and immunizations under the direction of healthcare professionals
• Perform back-office skills, including CLIA-waiver testing and laboratory maintenance
• Practice strict infection control and bloodborne pathogen precautions
• Manage medical office administration, including inventory monitoring and supply maintenance

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certificate from an accredited Medical Assistant training program
• Active certification as a CMA, RMA, NCMA, or CCMA
• Two years of medical assistant experience in a direct patient care setting
• Valid and unrestricted Arizona driver's license
• Ability to obtain BLS certification within 90 days of hire

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with both pediatric and adult patients
• Spanish language fluency
