Certified Medical Assistant

Responsibilities

• Provide proactive clinical support to clinicians and assist with patient care follow-up
• Prepare exam rooms, including setting up instruments, supplies, and equipment
• Greet patients, verify information, record medical history, and take vital signs
• Support patient care delivery by assisting with examinations, drawing blood, and performing EKGs
• Administer medications, immunizations, and injections per provider directive
• Prepare laboratory specimens, perform basic tests, and sterilize medical instruments
• Complete patient records, including examination, treatment, and test results
• Manage inventory, place orders, and ensure equipment is properly maintained
• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following all clinical standards and policies
• Provide coverage across multiple Fetter Healthcare Network clinics and health centers as a floating role

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Current CMA or RMA certification
• Current CPR Certification
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Computer literacy (Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel)
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to provide coverage across multiple locations

Preferred Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in a medical office or healthcare setting
• Ability to speak Spanish
