Certified Medical Assistant

Responsibilities

• Provide proactive clinical support and assist clinicians with patient care follow-up
• Prepare exam rooms, including arranging instruments, supplies, and equipment
• Greet patients and verify information by reviewing medical history and taking vital signs
• Support patient care delivery by assisting with examinations, preparing lab specimens, and performing basic tests
• Administer medications, give immunizations, and perform blood draws or EKGs as directed
• Educate patients regarding medication, diet, and general instructions
• Maintain accurate medical records, including examination and treatment results
• Manage medical supplies through inventory tracking, ordering, and verifying receipts
• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following all federal, state, and local requirements
• Perform equipment maintenance and autoclave instruments according to schedule

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Current CMA or RMA certification
• Current CPR Certification
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and office practices

Preferred Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in a medical office or healthcare setting
• Fluency in Spanish
