Certified Medical Assistant

Responsibilities

• Provide proactive clinical support by assisting clinicians with patient care follow-up and medical procedures
• Prepare patients for visits by directing them to exam rooms, providing gowns, and assisting with positioning
• Verify patient information, record medical history, and take vital signs
• Support patient care delivery by preparing laboratory specimens, performing basic tests, and sterilizing instruments
• Assist healthcare providers during examinations and minor surgical procedures
• Administer medications, immunizations, and injections per provider directive
• Educate patients regarding medication, diet, and general instructions
• Maintain exam rooms by ensuring they are adequately stocked and organized
• Complete medical records by accurately recording examinations, treatments, and test results
• Manage clinical supplies through inventory tracking, ordering, and verifying receipts
• Maintain a safe work environment by following all federal, state, and local requirements

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Current CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) or RMA (Registered Medical Assistant) certification
• Current CPR Certification
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, and Excel)
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and office practices

Preferred Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in a medical office or healthcare setting
• Ability to speak Spanish
