Certified Medical Assistant

Responsibilities

• Check vital signs and review medical history
• Address chief complaints and administer medications or vaccinations
• Perform EKGs, wound care, and other diagnostic tests
• Schedule appointments and manage patient flow
• Maintain and update electronic health records (EHRs)
• Handle correspondence, billing, and medical documentation
• Travel to patients' homes and medical facilities in the Oklahoma City region

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Knowledge of medical terminology and EMR systems
• Familiarity with HIPAA and OSHA regulations
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program
• Certification (CMA, RMA, or CCMA)
• 1+ years of experience in a medical office or clinic
• CPR / AED certification
