About the role
Responsibilities
- Check vital signs and review medical history
- Address chief complaints and administer medications or vaccinations
- Perform EKGs, wound care, and other diagnostic tests
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow
- Maintain and update electronic health records (EHRs)
- Handle correspondence, billing, and medical documentation
- Travel to patients' homes and medical facilities in the Oklahoma City region
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of medical terminology and EMR systems
- Familiarity with HIPAA and OSHA regulations
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program
- Certification (CMA, RMA, or CCMA)
- 1+ years of experience in a medical office or clinic
- CPR / AED certification
