Certified Home Health Aide

Responsibilities

• Care for a census of 5-6 patients
• Provide or assist in ADL activities including personal hygiene, grooming, and skin care
• Assist with toileting, positioning, and transfer activities
• Assist with prescribed exercise and ROM activities
• Perform light housekeeping including changing bed linen and laundry
• Feed and assist patients with meals
• Report changes in patient condition to the Nurse

Requirements

• NJ Board of Nursing certification as a Home Health Aide
• Minimum 75 hours of classroom and supervised practical training
• One year of experience as a home health aide (Hospice experience preferred)
• At least 18 years old
• Licensed driver with an insured automobile in good working order
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Bilingual in Spanish
