Certified Executive Housekeeper

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning and sanitization of patient rooms, offices, corridors, restrooms, and common areas
• Follow VA infection control standards, environmental services procedures, and safety requirements
• Properly collect, handle, and dispose of waste, including regulated medical waste
• Replenish consumable supplies such as paper products, soap, and disinfectants
• Operate janitorial equipment and cleaning tools safely and effectively
• Respond to urgent, unscheduled, or special cleaning requests as required
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in a healthcare environment
• Support Medical Center readiness by ensuring facilities meet cleanliness and sanitation standards

Requirements

• Certified Executive Housekeeper (CEH) certification is required
• Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Ability to pass a background investigation and clearance requirements
• Must be up to date with COVID-19 vaccinations in accordance with VA requirements

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior janitorial or housekeeping experience in a healthcare or commercial environment
