Certified Athletic Trainer

Responsibilities

• Provide injury prevention, clinical evaluation, diagnosis, immediate care, treatment, and rehabilitation for student-athletes
• Provide coverage for home events and practices 2-3 times per week, following the seasonal athletic schedule
• Communicate regularly with the Director of Athletics, Head ATC, School Nurse, coaches, and parents regarding athlete health
• Maintain a daily treatment log and file all necessary reports associated with athletic injuries or incidents
• Monitor and control environmental risks to ensure a safe playing environment
• Follow the NATA scope of practice regarding professional responsibility and organization

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• NATABOC certification (must maintain current certification and continuing education requirements)
• Maryland licensure (possess or be eligible for licensure)
• CPR/AED/First Aid certification
