Certified Athletic Trainer

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical care including injury prevention, evaluation, diagnosis, immediate care, treatment, and rehabilitation for Middle and Upper School student-athletes
• Provide onsite coverage for home athletic events and practices during the fall and winter seasons
• Maintain regular communication with the Director of Athletics, School Nurse, team physicians, coaches, and parents regarding athlete health
• Manage administrative tasks such as maintaining daily treatment logs and filing injury/incident reports
• Collaborate with the School Nurse on annual physicals and supervise injury prevention protocols
• Oversee athletic training room inventory and medical kits
• Monitor environmental risks to ensure a safe playing environment for all students

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
• Current NATABOC certification in good standing
• Maryland State licensure (or eligibility for licensure)
• Current CPR/AED and First Aid certification
• Proven experience in a clinical or school-based athletic training setting
