About the role

Responsibilities

  • Develop, manage, and control certification plans for aircraft payloads and interiors, including galleys and main cabin components.
  • Manage multiple certification plans concurrently to ensure alignment with project milestones and aircraft delivery schedules.
  • Coordinate technical information across multidisciplinary teams such as Payloads, Electrical, and Mechanical Systems.
  • Use web-based tools (DCCS, CSDT, Capto) to create, update, and track certification progress.
  • Interface with technical experts, including Design Approval Engineers (DAEs) and Engineering Unit Members (E-UMs).
  • Maintain clear, auditable documentation of project status and communicate updates to stakeholders and management.
  • Identify and lead opportunities to improve certification processes, tools, and workflows.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace, Aeronautical, or Material Sciences).
  • 2 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience.
  • Ability to work onsite in Long Beach, CA, five days per week.
  • Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements (U.S. Person status).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with FAA and/or EASA certification processes.
  • Experience authoring production, component, or modification Certification Plans.
  • Familiarity with certification tools and databases such as Capto, DCCS, CSDT, and ICA request systems.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to independently develop practical solutions and manage multiple competing priorities.
