About the role
Responsibilities
- Exercise Minor change approval legal privileges granted by EASA in compliance with Part 21 and Design Organization Approval requirements.
- Ensure the airworthiness of design changes for avionics and cabin electronic systems.
- Allocate changes within Airbus tools (AirCAM) and review change dossiers from the Design Office.
- Classify changes according to Part 21 criteria and identify applicable requirements.
- Verify compliance with requirements provided by the Compliance Verification Engineer (CVE).
- Complete Modification Approval Summaries to approve changes or communicate refusals.
- Support aircraft delivery schedules and Service Bulletin targets by providing timely approvals.
- Report airworthiness issues to the Chief Airworthiness Engineer.
Requirements
- Graduate or Post Graduate Engineer in Aerospace, Avionics, Electronics, or Electrical Engineering.
- 7-12 years of relevant experience in aircraft systems.
- Proven experience in large aircraft avionics or cabin system engineering (preferably with Airbus products).
- Technical competence in design principles and compliance data.
- Knowledge of airworthiness Part 21 subpart D.
- Familiarity with EASA CS25, JAR25, or FAR25 avionics and electrical systems requirements.
- Fluency in English with strong oral, written, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively within a transnational team environment.
