About the role
Responsibilities
- Exercise Minor change approval legal privileges granted by EASA in full compliance with Part 21 and Design Organization Approval requirements.
- Guarantee the airworthiness of design changes defined by Airbus and report issues to the Chief Airworthiness Engineer.
- Allocate changes within Airbus tools (AirCAM) as an Airworthiness mod leader.
- Review change dossiers from the Design Office and classify changes according to Part 21 criteria.
- Appraise design changes, identify applicable requirements, and verify compliance provided by the Compliance Verification Engineer (CVE).
- Complete Modification Approval Summaries to approve changes or communicate refusals to relevant stakeholders.
- Support aircraft delivery schedules and Service Bulletin targets by ensuring timely approvals.
Requirements
- Graduate or Post Graduate Engineer in Aerospace, Avionics, Electronics, or Electrical Engineering.
- 7-12 years of experience in aircraft avionics or cabin system engineering.
- Proven experience with large aircraft avionics or cabin systems, preferably on Airbus products.
- Strong technical competence in design principles and compliance data.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a transnational team.
- Excellent communication skills in English (oral, written, and presentation).
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of airworthiness Part 21 Subpart D.
- Familiarity with EASA CS25, JAR25, or FAR25 requirements for avionics and electrical systems.
- Experience with EASA Part 21 approval procedures.
- Exposure to avionics and cabin systems design documents.
- Understanding of the roles and responsibilities of a Type Certificate holder under a Design Organization Approval.
