Central Services Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform manufacturing procedures for animal vaccine production in accordance with cGMP, SOP, and USDA guidelines
• Clean, prep, and steam sterilize portable tanks and ancillary equipment using autoclaves
• Operate filter integrity testers and assist in the operation of concentrators and downstream processing equipment
• Maintain accurate documentation, including process worksheets and log sheets, following cGMP principles
• Perform routine cleaning and disinfection of manufacturing spaces and equipment
• Handle materials using hand and powered moving equipment
• Perform minor maintenance on potable tanks and equipment to ensure reliability

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal directions
• Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and metric conversions
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
• Ability to work 2nd shift (Tuesday – Saturday, 2:00pm – 10:30pm)

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in biological sciences or business administration
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
• Prior experience in a biological manufacturing setting or aseptic technique
• Technical understanding of fermentor and downstream processing equipment
• Proficiency with Windows-based applications
