About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage activities of staff involved in resolving public assistance client appeals
- Oversee application and recertification processes to ensure eligibility rule compliance
- Assist the Director in managing various program components including call centers and specialized job centers
- Determine training needs and oversee development of training curriculum
- Supervise implementation of Welfare Reform initiatives and employment support
- Conduct management audits to ensure adherence to Federal, State, and Agency regulations
- Oversee referrals to the Office of Child Support Enforcement and other outside agencies
- Monitor the Fair Hearing process and ensure timely compliance with decisions
- Manage accuracy and timelines of data entered into centralized computer systems
Requirements
- Baccalaureate degree plus four years of related experience, including 18 months in a supervisory capacity; OR
- High school diploma plus eight years of related experience, including 18 months in a supervisory capacity; OR
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must have at least 18 months of experience in a supervisory or managerial capacity
