Cemetery Groundskeeper

Responsibilities

• Maintain the general upkeep of external property, including mowing lawns, sweeping sidewalks, and picking up litter
• Perform gardening tasks such as watering, planting shrubs, pruning, weeding, and raking
• Level soil over graves using shovels, rakes, and wheelbarrows
• Inspect grounds for obstacles or hazards and ensure they are removed or disposed of
• Ensure proper storage and perform basic maintenance on equipment and supplies
• Report any damage, vandalism, or safety hazards to the supervisor
• Work in compliance with OH&S Act and Regulations and follow all health and safety policies

Requirements

• Up to 1 year of experience in lawn maintenance
• Familiarity with lawn equipment and tools
• Knowledge of Health & Safety Standards
• Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Willingness to obtain a Criminal Police Check and sign a Code of Conduct
