Cellular Biologist I

Responsibilities

• Perform and implement cell cultures for various platforms, including 2D and 3D models.
• Maintain cell cultures associated with the laboratory core’s activities.
• Assist with assay development, cell culture setup, and automation support for cell screening.
• Document results, implement protocols from literature, and troubleshoot variations in testing.
• Plan and monitor resources, maintain inventory control, and coordinate equipment or facilities.
• Lead the exchange of research information through demonstration and instruction.
• Assist in training others within or external to the assigned work area.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in biological sciences or a related discipline.
• 0-2 years of directly related experience in a laboratory setting.
• Proficiency in 2D and 3D cell culture techniques.
• Demonstrated ability in the development of research protocols.
• Strong data collection and analysis skills.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, which may include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.
• Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent assignments or multi-faceted projects.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with human clinical sample handling.
• Experience with laboratory automation.
