Cello Instructor

Responsibilities

• Teach private cello lessons to community music students of various ages and levels
• Maintain a 12-hour per week teaching load during the fall and spring semesters
• Develop and maintain lesson plans, syllabi, and homework materials for students
• Teach additional music classes such as music theory, appreciation, or history as assigned
• Attend scheduled Academy of the Arts faculty meetings and student recitals
• Assist with student registration and maintain an updated private teaching schedule
• Support recital preparation, including hall setup, supervision, and cleanup

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• Minimum of two (2) years of full-time teaching experience
• Excellent communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Ability to report to work daily and attend weekend events or recitals as necessary
