About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead the strategic expansion and growth of WRA’s CEI practice within the Florida region
- Develop and advance client relationships and teaming partner connections statewide
- Drive business development efforts, including preparing Letters of Response and pursuing CEI opportunities
- Lead teams in securing project assignments and managing the proposal development process
- Oversee the hiring, training, mentoring, and retention of CEI staff
- Manage contracts and technical assignments for Design-Build and Design-Bid-Build projects
- Ensure high quality of work, client satisfaction, and effective contract/task management
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil or Construction Engineering (or a relevant discipline)
- Florida licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Minimum 16 years of FDOT Construction Engineering Inspection (CEI) or Construction Management experience
- Proven experience with both Design-Build and Design-Bid-Build project delivery methods
- Demonstrated success in business development and client services management within Florida
- Extensive knowledge of roadway and bridge construction programs and FDOT projects
- Strong technical writing and oral presentation skills for client interviews and proposals
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Construction Manager (CCM) designation
- Experience as a Senior Project Engineer or Project Administrator on FDOT projects
- Experience with local government-administered programs
- Proficiency in CPM scheduling, Primavera P6, or MS Project
- Experience with project controls, including claims analysis and constructability reviews
